Customer Advisor Specialist (Market Services)

Job Description

We are working with United Utilities to recruit a Customer Advisor Specialist to join their team on a 9-month contract basis initially. The role is based at United Utilities' fantastic head office in Great Sankey, Warrington, where successful candidates will have access to a variety of onsite facilities including free parking, on-site gym with discounted membership, and an on-site nursery for children up to 5 years old. There is also a free shuttle bus running from the town centre of Warrington.

The role holder will provide an excellent service to all retailers within the Non-Household market and ensure that any market data item for the businesses non-household (NHH) assets are accurately reflected in external market systems and internal systems to ensure accurate billing via settlements and the collection of revenue.

Accountabilities
* Responsible for delivering accurate market data in line with retailer requests and wholesale-initiated work streams, prioritising work items based on market SLA's.
* Adhere to strict deadlines for market participants and keep retailers updated at all key stages.
* Identify any operational practice or processes that presents a risk to data quality as well as Retailer satisfaction and will raise any such issue through the relevant escalation route.
* Work closely within their own team plus the data cleanse team, the wider wholesale market services teams and key external stakeholders including retailers and the Market Operator (MOSL) to investigate data issues and update market data in line with Wholesale policy and market processes.
* Update all systems as required to manage retailer expectations/satisfaction and to reduce the likelihood of repeat contacts, escalations, complaints, or disputes arising.

Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to investigate the underlying causes of market transaction failures and successes
* Broad knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office applications
* Proven planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated and focus on delivering to tight targets and timescales
* Good communication skills, written and verbal
* Good team player with the flexibility to go the extra mile to achieve important deadlines
* Supporting testing activities and live proving for Maintenance Releases
* Due to changing internal and external priorities we are working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate must be comfortable working to tight deadlines and with workload priorities that frequently change.

Desirable Criteria
* Experience of working within the water industry and with commercial customers.

Additional Information
* Ability to work between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and have flexibility within these times
* This is a contract role for 9 months initially.
