We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Risk Specialist to join the Credit, Risk and Fraud team. As a Credit Risk SME, you will be expected to bring a clear understanding of the Credit Risk landscape to your role and work closely with stakeholders to drive good practice through risk mitigation, advisory and implementation. Your responsibilities will include supporting with the implementation of the end-to-end risk management frameworks, strategies, appetite, methodologies, and policies, defining and communicating credit risk and fraud processes and making and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and ensuring regulatory compliance.

This is a key role for the business that will see you working closely with other credit risk colleagues to ensure all new business applications are underwritten prudently and managed according to Company policy and procedures. You will also be responsible for initiating, assessing & managing change across the debt schemes & processes to ensure continuous improvement ensuring all changes have a positive impact on working capital or operational productivity.

Candidate Description

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Strong history of credit risk knowledge within a business environment

  • Understanding of Debt Management practices for business customers including business collection strategy

  • Ability to interpret company accounts / financial reports

  • Confident decision maker especially when under pressure

  • Ability to analyse data and identify trends

  • Strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel, with ability to work with multiple work sheets, pivots etc.
