An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Risk Manager within the Compliance Risk Management team, in Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Shared Services, as part of Santander's Second Line of defence.
You will be responsible for embedding, managing and reporting on the adherence of key operational risk processes, for Conduct and Compliance, as well as liaising and supporting the delivery of the Group Compliance Programme. The role will involve stakeholder management at Senior Level both within SAN UK and Group stakeholders.
You will need drive with great attention to detail, communication and influencing, as well as organisation skills.

Managing the Local Risk Management Framework for Conduct & Compliance, including Operating Plan, Risk Management processes (e.g., Risk & Control Self-Assessments, Risk Certification, Risk Embedding) and reporting
Ensuring procedures and controls are implemented through engagement with key stakeholders, pro-actively seeking and leading improved oversight processes, innovation and risk management.
Influencing internal and external stakeholders in change control, challenging process, with input to business wide strategic projects
Identifying, assessing, managing and reporting risks, taking proactive personal responsibility for 'doing the right thing' in compliance with regulatory requirements and our frameworks and policies.
Providing expertise to internal senior stakeholders and will influence, as well as work in partnership with, other functions and business areas to ensure adherence to relevant policies and frameworks.
What you'll bring.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of operational risk management and control methodologies, toolsets, and their successful application.
Experience of policy drafting and implementation in a Compliance environment.
Ability to interpret and articulate regulation, statute and conduct matters in business context, delivering complex information in a way that is simple and easy to understand.
Good understanding of the financial services industry, the political and economic environment and Santander strategy and initiatives.
Ability to work as part of a senior management team with ability to challenge and influence at a senior stakeholder level
Experience of working in [Policy & Advisory/Monitoring/Remediation/Assurance] across different aspects of financial services / financial market
