Due to an internal promotion we now have an opportunity for a Commercial Solutions Manager to lead, motivate and develop the Wholesale Commercial Team across Direct Reports and the broader team, to support delivery of profitable growth opportunities and contract retention for Virgin Media Wholesale in line with the divisional Budget and Strategy set at an organisational level. As part of your role you will provide high quality opportunity qualification, commercial and pricing support, with particular emphasis on major acquisition opportunities within new and developing markets via a dedicated Business Development function. You will provide Commercial 'Business Partnering' support to Sales and Solution Leads, HODs and other relevant stakeholders to develop effective Sector Strategies, review and comment on Pipeline activity, and consult on financial impacts against budgets, as well as support the development of governance rules & processes

This role is a key leading interface at a senior level working closely with other SLT Management teams to drive improvements and balance operational efficiency with sound commercial practice

Candidate Description

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Proven track record of assimilating, understanding and resolving complex technical, strategic and business issues.

  • Strong planning skills, with experience of balancing short-term requirements with longer-term Strategies

  • Demonstrable experience of effectively communicating the opportunity strategy in order to ensure the proposition developed is fit for purpose

  • Excellent Team Leadership and communication skills to build solid relationships with the customer, suppliers and internally with Senior Management and the bid team

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret market, customer, financial, and operational insights

  • Strong commercial acumen - able to advise the business of marketplace, technology or competitor movement.

  • Previous experience of working for a telecommunications Company would be an advantage

  • Experience of working in a B2B environment
