  • Design and development of application architecture and system landscapes in public cloud using different compute resources such as serverless PaaS services and Kubernetes container clusters.

  • Development of roadmaps and plateaus for the transition of existing enterprise applications and their infrastructure to the public cloud.

  • Architectural implementation of off-the-shelf or customer specific applications in close collaboration with international project teams or software engineers, architects and business specialists.

  • Support in pre-sales, proposals and business development for projects, strategic vendor selection and service delivery.

  • Act as gatekeeper for CI/CD gates such as code quality (SAST/ DAST), test code coverage, etc. using tools such as Sonar, CheckMarx, Nexus, Junit, etc.

  • Evaluation and implementation of new technical standards, design principles and architectural methods.

  • Mentoring of team members.

  • Deliver thought leadership in the form of blogs, white papers, and case studies.

Candidate Description

We are looking for an architect with a proven track record in delivering cloud native solutions consisting of single page/ progressive web (AngularJS/ React) and native mobile applications supported by microservices-based APIs developed using Java/.Net/NodeJS development to strengthen our team. You will be at the frontline of digital transformation helping the customer define the next generation architectures for diverse workloads deployed across a combination of on premises and public cloud infrastructure. You will actively work with our customers transitioning them to the cloud and share your experience and expertise with the other members of the Digital Architecture community.,

  • Degree in computer or natural science and extensive experience in large software projects using modern Java/.Net/NodeJS technology stacks and associated frameworks (JEE, Spring, etc.) and related technologies (CI/CD tooling, RDBMS/ NoSQL, Jackson, etc.)

  • Sufficient experience as architect in these types of projects

  • Understanding of architectural methods e.g. Agile evolutionary architecture, Domain Driven Design, TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate

  • Profound knowledge in the design, development and implementation of large applications and complex systems applying 12/15 Factor App strategy and hexagonal architectures.

  • You think agile, yet you can also effectively manage stakeholders that maintain older or alternative ways of working

  • Very good understanding of DevOps (preferably DevSecOps), continuous integration/ delivery and pipeline phases, security/ applied cryptography

  • Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs documented using OpenAPI/ Swagger and consumer driven contract based development and testing

  • Experience with building and managing Docker container images and deployment to Kubernetes clusters.

  • Significant experience with one of the platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Open Shift, Cloud Foundry with understanding of the breadth of end to end technology stack and depth with one platform

  • Fluent in English with good writing/ presentation skills and excellent communication skills

  • Flexible, stress resistant, willing to travel
