Job Description
The Cleaner will work as a team of three undertaking the daily clean of Voyage Care's Group Support offices. The Cleaner will take responsibility for day-to-day cleaning, ensuring a high standard of workmanship, that tasks are addressed professionally and in a timely fashion, compliance standards are achieved, and that the environment is maintained to a high standard. This includes cleaning offices, kitchens, toilets and circulation areas.,
Carry out thorough cleaning (which will include vacuuming, dusting, polishing, disposing of refuse, deodorising, mopping) of designated areas
Operate safely any powered equipment, including vacuum cleaner, ensuring health and safety requirements are followed at all times
Liaise with colleagues at Group Support when appropriate with regard to specific tasks and requirements
Ensure the safe storage and handling of cleaning materials in accordance with COSHH requirements
Comply with the company's Recycling Policy and any other relevant initiatives
Operate in accordance with safe working practices at all times, ensuring that any hazards, including faulty equipment, are reported immediately and addressed as appropriate
Comply with, and if appropriate maintaining, any relevant records (e.g., COSHH/lifting and handling/general office risk assessments) in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations, and any other relevant legislation
Work as part of a team and being able to relate respectfully, supportively and enthusiastically to people who work in the offices
Manage own workload and time effectively, communicating with other cleaning staff as required to ensure a consistent cleaning service
Understand and complying with the Company's Policies and Procedures
Undertake any relevant training, either on-line or in person, and attending relevant meetings as designated by the Cleaning Supervisor/ Property Support Manager.
