The Cleaner will work as a team of three undertaking the daily clean of Voyage Care's Group Support offices. The Cleaner will take responsibility for day-to-day cleaning, ensuring a high standard of workmanship, that tasks are addressed professionally and in a timely fashion, compliance standards are achieved, and that the environment is maintained to a high standard. This includes cleaning offices, kitchens, toilets and circulation areas.,

  • Carry out thorough cleaning (which will include vacuuming, dusting, polishing, disposing of refuse, deodorising, mopping) of designated areas

  • Operate safely any powered equipment, including vacuum cleaner, ensuring health and safety requirements are followed at all times

  • Liaise with colleagues at Group Support when appropriate with regard to specific tasks and requirements

  • Ensure the safe storage and handling of cleaning materials in accordance with COSHH requirements

  • Comply with the company's Recycling Policy and any other relevant initiatives

  • Operate in accordance with safe working practices at all times, ensuring that any hazards, including faulty equipment, are reported immediately and addressed as appropriate

  • Comply with, and if appropriate maintaining, any relevant records (e.g., COSHH/lifting and handling/general office risk assessments) in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations, and any other relevant legislation

  • Work as part of a team and being able to relate respectfully, supportively and enthusiastically to people who work in the offices

  • Manage own workload and time effectively, communicating with other cleaning staff as required to ensure a consistent cleaning service

  • Understand and complying with the Company's Policies and Procedures

  • Undertake any relevant training, either on-line or in person, and attending relevant meetings as designated by the Cleaning Supervisor/ Property Support Manager.
