Balfour Beatty VINCI have an exciting opportunity for a Certification Engineer to join the team working on HS2
What you'll be doing
Implementing technical assurance management procedures
Facilitating configuration workshops/reviews as necessary
Managing the production of handover packages, ensuring quality of data captured
Ensure all HS2 technical and contractual requirements are included in the BBV plans and procedures, and communication of these to the team
Monitor change and updates to the requirements and ensure appropriately communicated and actioned
Assist management for delivery of the Technical Assurance and Handover from completion of detailed design through to handover packages (As-built and Quality Record Packages) at each phase of works completion, ensuring full records traceability and availability to the satisfaction of the Client
Establish monitoring and measuring to ensure compliance evidence is collected progressively and that certification is available at the planned time
Work in accordance with the BBV IMS. Prepare, implement, and maintain the Technical Assurance Plan (TAP), which governs how BBV plans, manages and discharges its assurance obligations
Reviewing and developing systems and processes for the management and control of site information, data, design and construction related documentation and records
Establishing an approach to managing subcontractors and other
suppliers assurance and providing guidance and training to construction team deliver this approach
Monitor, assist, audit and improve the application of the technical assurance and handover management processes
Establish and report against quality performance KPIs
Analysing their results and reporting causes of failure to project management
Provide regular reports to the senior management team on progress and quality of construction and handover deliverables
Candidate Description
At least 5 years of experience in the management of QMS on major projects in the construction industry, UK experience a plus
Experience of Technical Assurance (compliance requirements), Handover (Quality Record Packages) and Certification
Bachelors Degree or Diploma
ISO 9001 Audit Experience Key Skills and Knowledge
Highly organised with good communication and coordination skills
Initiative, Productive and Efficient
Excellent in spoken and written English (technical writing, etc.)
People management skills, effective delegation, mentoring and coaching and developing others
Ability to anticipate potential quality risks and implement or process preventive measures to limit these risks
Ability to strike a balance between high quality standards and practicality of site implementation
Good information management skills, able to quickly and efficiently seek out the relevant and pertinent points from large volumes of project information
Experienced in the use of project information tools and management systems including MS Office and web-based collaboration technologies for project information and process management, such as IBM Doors
