You'll join the Quality Control (QC) team within the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) department, a close-knit, specialist team dedicated to preventing and combating Financial Crime (FC).

You'll act as the subject matter expert providing FC advice and guidance to the QC team to support the assessment of financial crime risks associated with Santander customers during on-boarding, Periodic Reviews and Event Driven Reviews.

The difference you'll make.

  • Ensuring that all CDD files, FC CoE referrals and system driven CRA alerts are accurately assessed and actioned

  • Mentoring and supporting the QC Analysts, setting clear expectations, coaching, providing feedback and direction to support their job performance and career progression

  • Providing ongoing support to the wider CDD teams in provision of advice and guidance, collating documentation and reviewing policy, procedures, and regulatory requests

  • Building effective working relationships within the CDD capability and wider business area to effectively investigate cases

  • Working to identify change needs and quality improvement to processes in driving better outputs.

  • Supporting the CDD QC Team Manager in any necessary inputs to the internal forum

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of CDD/EDD and Quality Control within a financial services environment.

  • Demonstrable evidence of ability to work in a team with your peers and provide guidance and support as an SME.

Candidate Description

  • Experience of working in the Financial Services industry with either mass market retail individual, business banking or corporate/commercial banking experience

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
