To support our Managing Director of Motor, Jazz Gakhal, we're recruiting for a Business Manager to help bring our vision to realisation.

What you'll be doing

As the Business Manager, you will ensure that the Managing Director (MD) is able to run as efficiently as possible and can prioritise focus on their business objectives. You will support the Motor function in providing an operative framework for business planning activities that will drive forward our culture of improvement and innovation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing agendas and facilitating management meetings and offsites

  • Creating and producing internal and external reports and briefings for the MD to present at meetings with ExCo, Board, and firm-wide ensuring all the relevant key information and facts are captured and tailored to inform discussion and decisions.

  • Working in partnership with other members of the team to respond to enquiries and handle other administrative tasks (e.g. minutes of meetings)

  • Attending relevant business meetings and represent MD where necessary

  • Overseeing the monthly review of the business cost centre, payroll, and procurement expense reports to ensure alignment with budget

Candidate Description

  • Strong stakeholder management skills- you will work across organisational boundaries and be a key member, providing guidance whilst bringing empathy and energy

  • Ideally previous experience in motor or retail pricing to support in connecting the dots

  • Analytical skills to not only gather and summarise data but to also help find solutions to project challenges. You must exercise a high level of independent judgement and problem solving, being able to influence where needed.

  • Evidence of managing communications, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines, exercising exceptional organisational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of senior internal and external contacts and prepare materials for a wide range of audiences

  • Understanding of strategic planning and experience of managing business performance including forecasting and budgeting
