  • Lead the development of robust business cases to help shape how we deliver our longer-term strategic aims, including the analysis of the costs, benefits, risks, and impacts for a range of options

  • Demonstrate and apply critical thinking to challenge our ideas for delivering our longer-term aims, seeking to determine whether the ideas, arguments and findings represent the entire picture and being open to finding that they do not==

  • Communicate progress to the Senior Management Team on the development of the business cases, including flagging any risks or issues

  • Work with others to resolve any problems that present barriers or challenges to progressing the business cases

Candidate Description

  • Experience of developing complex business cases to support decision-making on strategic options or organisational change programmes

  • Demonstrating critical thinking to question ideas and assumptions

  • Applying techniques which help when investigating, analysing, modelling a variety of options

  • Ability to develop strong relationships and consensus within teams across an organisation and to motivate and empower colleagues

  • Excellent communication skills, including a high standard of formal report writing as well as great interpersonal verbal and written communication

  • Confidence to engage and collaborate with senior leaders and managers, providing them with value added input, advice, support and challenge
