Business Analyst - Treasury

Job Description

Business Analyst - Treasury, utilises a broad skillset to deliver change on a range of different types of initiatives. The Business Analyst - Treasury may perform one of the following roles; (i) stream-lead role on a programme, (ii) leading a stand-alone project, or (iii) being in charge of a key piece of complex analysis or design work. They will have significant experience across multiple disciplines of change e.g. business analysis, project management, process improvement, and change adoption & testing.

Overview:

Treasury Change is part of the Treasury Control, Regulation and Change function which oversees strategy, first line control, regulatory engagement, investment governance and change management for the Treasury organization. The Treasury organization is fully supportive of flexible working.

Treasury Change is responsible for driving Treasury's contribution to the infrastructure architecture roadmap involving a number of change programmes and key components of design on front to back data flows and process. This involves partnering with Treasury business, Strats, Technology, Finance & Risk as well as all the client facing business lines. The engagement is essential to ensure technology and business processes are designed in such a way as to reduce manual processes across the organization, increase transparency over the data used in Treasury and provide tooling that enables business and senior management to make decisions that have a clear impact on the bottom line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing projects or workstreams within a larger programme with a focus on ensuring that the relevant and appropriate analyses are performed, shaped in appropriate management information, and presented to the relevant governance bodies and committees.
  • Close collaboration with the wider programme group to ensure alignment with programme principles and objectives.
  • Ensuring the documentation and tracking of programme/project relevant (inter-) dependencies, risks, issues, actions for mitigations and other related artefacts.
  • Ensuring that an appropriate programme steering group is in place, providing a targeted status reporting on a regular basis including transparency on risks, issues and dependencies as well as making recommendations on any required decisions.
  • Responsible for active stakeholder engagement by ensuring a close collaboration with key stakeholders across DB and by working closely with SMEs (eg, product specialists) to collect, balance and prioritize business requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experienced Project Management and Business Analyst with excellent academic record and qualifications with up to 8 years' work experience as a business analyst with direct experience of Financial Markets & Treasury products and systems.
  • Experience in working with or as a part of a Treasury or Trading department in a change or IT capacity.
  • Functional understanding of Treasury products and their product lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial markets & Treasury products and systems.
  • Understanding of Risk, P&L Funding.
