We have an exciting new opportunity to join Virgin Media as a Build Support Administrator! Within this role, you'll be reporting into an operations team leader, ensuring that planning and build opportunities for expanding the network are correctly processed and placed into the build program.

You'll coordinate all administration of Plan and Build activity within network expansion ensuring that all aspects of code of practice's are adhered to and operational processes are managed effectively. We have a one team approach, so you'll need to be ready and flexible to support the wider build operations function on required tasks, helping network expansion and Virgin Media O2 on our North Star Journey.

As a Build Support Administrator, you can expect to act as single point of contact for all support related queries, ensuring we comply with the current legislation. You'll make sure we are achieving service level agreements and agreed KPI's whilst building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers and improving liaison and information flow between all parties.

You'll attend and participate in departmental meetings when required and you'll need to have the ability to manage own workloads and prioritise accordingly, and deputise, where appropriate, for the team leader in their absence and deal with any communication accordingly.

Candidate Description

  • Excellent PC / keyboard skills and you'll need to be competent in the use of MS Access, Excel and Outlook, so proven experience is necessary!

  • An eye for detail is essential, as well as the ability to digest and manipulate data, drawing conclusions and generating objective recommendations.

  • You must be able to operate within strict timescales and meet deadlines, with the capacity to adapt to changing requirements as necessary.

  • The ability to organise and manage workloads and to be responsive and show flexibility to changing requirements.

  • Proven stakeholder management experience and the ability to manage relationships with both internal and external clients.

Other stuff we're looking for

  • Previous experience in dealing / communicating to the business regarding civils related matters in a clear and concise manner, and any experience in dealing with contractors and client bodies.

  • An understanding of construction and installation process for underground apparatus would be desirable.
