The Billing Assistant will report directly into an experienced Revenue Manger who has extensive experience in the firm's processes. Working closely with the Revenue manager and other team members, the successful Billing Assistant will be responsible for liaising with various internal departments and senior stakeholders across the business to ensure bills are sent out accurately and in a timely manner.,

  • General system maintenance which will include responsibilities such as time transfers and amendments in line with Client details

  • Running both weekly and monthly pre-billing reports for internal members and on occasion, on a ad-hoc basis

  • Conducting the billing events by maintaining the diary and ensuring that events are acted upon

  • Assisting on all aspects of the billing process, from draft bills to finalised bills and then to provide the breakdowns at the end in the multi-currency system

  • Liaising with the company's finance committee to ensure the write offs are approved

  • Managing the time entry and new matters by following up with the company associates

  • Processing client invoices on the e-billing system

  • Ensuring that both client billing details are kept up to date and the billing instructions are fulfilled by ensuring that the contact information and VAT information is correct

Candidate Description

Desired experience of the Legal Billing Coordinator

  • 1-2 years' worth of experience working in Billing Assistant/Coordinator role

  • Knowledge using Law software e.g Aderant/Elite

  • Strong use of MS package (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)

  • Someone who is able to solve problems

  • Strong communicator

  • Excellent Multitasker

  • Can do attitude

  • Able to work independently

  • Flexible

  • Strong team player
