On behalf of Lloyds Banking Group, AMS are looking for an Assistant Risk Manager until the end of Feb 2023 based in London/Bristol/Halifax/Edinburgh providing Hybrid working (twice a week).

Purpose of the Role:

  • To deliver independent assurance testing over key Finance processes based in one of the four hubs represented by Group Finance Risk (Bristol, Edinburgh, London, Halifax).
  • The role holder will be required to work closely with Stakeholders and Divisional Business Partners to maximise the effectiveness of delivery and ensure that Group Finance Risk continues to deliver an excellent stakeholder experience.
  • Key to success in this role is the ability to manage your workload to meet team priorities, strong communication and influencing skills, a continuous improvement mindset and proven capability in control assessment.

As a Assistant Risk Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Delivery of independent assurance
  • Contacting stakeholders to request evidence to demonstrate effective operation of controls
  • Examining evidence and then manipulating
  • Reaching a conclusion on whether the information received is sufficient
  • Delivering of independent Sox assurance testing across a wide variety of processes and teams on behalf of the Divisional / Functional Business Partners
  • Demonstrating curiosity to understand and, where appropriate, challenging the existing end-to-end controls t to mitigate financial risk
  • Providing insightful information and guidance to Stakeholders to help mitigate risk and improve the control environment.

  • Assurance testing and banking/financial services background

  • Can work autonomously and take responsibility
