Job Description

• Estates are seeking a qualified (City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing) Estates Maintenance Operative - Mechanical/Plumbing to join the busy and vibrant London Estates Maintenance Department of the NHS Trust.

• The post holder will carry out and assist with mechanical/plumbing works as per all reactive and planned maintenance work requests which have been assigned to the in-house Estates Maintenance Team under the supervision of the Estates Maintenance Supervisor.

• The post holder will be based at the Uxbridge site where will be accompanied, led and trained by two senior technicians.

• The post holder will shadow and assist senior technicians with professional and technical expertise to create, operate and maintain safe, efficient systems for all mechanical services.

• The post holder will also carry out approved and competent person duties to HTM 03-01 Specialised ventilation for healthcare buildings, Gas Safety Regulations, Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR) and JSP 375 and other Mechanical Engineering plant and services as part of the management responsibility for safely managing systems and installations.
