The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Modernisation team actively support the work within IELTS Delivery in delivering efficient and effective high stakes examinations through exam paper administration, providing support to Product Owners and working as a team supporting other Assessment Administrators. Reporting to the Modernisation Assessment Process Support Manager, you will need to establish a high standard for the following activities:

  • Support the production of examination material through the Question Paper Production process

  • Supporting systems design, business processes & operating model for Content Production within the IELTS landscape

  • Support IELTS Modernisation staff in carrying out User Acceptance Testing on in-house systems

  • Supporting testing and business change activities in the Modernisation Product team

  • Providing administrative support to the Modernisation team, including booking meetings, organising attendees, booking accommodation and travel arrangements, minute taking, processing finance forms and reporting

  • Author exam content and construct exam papers using in-house systems

  • Make amendments to exam content following proofing and vetting stages

  • Generate reports for managers using in-house systems

  • Use of in-house item banking systems and online content authoring tools

  • Process expenses relating to meetings

  • Deal with internal or external enquiries by post, phone, email or in person

  • PA duties such as diary management for Senior Management Team, including liaising with external partners

Candidate Description

At least Grade C English at GCSE level or equivalent, Essential

  • Time management and organisation

  • Ability to pick up new systems and processes

  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe Professional

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages in particular Outlook and Excel

  • Ability to use own initiative to suggest improvements to systems or processes

    Experience

  • Significant experience of working in a busy and complex office environment

  • Experience of working with complex systems

    Desirable

  • Experience of using relevant in-house systems

  • Experience of using basic design software to work on graphical input

  • Experience of authoring in XML

  • Experience of User Acceptance Testing,
