  • Developing and implementing individual shop operation plans and regularly reviewing performance with shop managers to ensure agreed levels of sales growth.

  • Contributing to the development of the regional sales plan

  • Promoting brand excellence across shop management teams driving forward initiatives to improve standards

  • Implementing and monitoring brand marketing material and displays in shops

  • Leading a team in line with the values, with high visibility throughout the shops, promoting a culture of achievement and responsibility

  • Recruiting and developing effective shop management teams in line with shop plan requirements

  • Agreeing territory recruitment plans in line with business needs and agreed budget

  • Monitoring food safety / health & safety practices across the territory ensuring compliance with brand standards and areas of risk to the business are minimised

  • Planning and controlling shop manning rotas in line with agreed costs

  • Monitoring key cost control areas and taking appropriate action to challenge variances

Candidate Description

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to take on the role of Area Manager for a group of 20 shops in Leeds City Centre/ East Leeds area. Our ideal candidate will have a strong retail background and proven experience of leading and developing high performing teams across a group of shops.,

  • Experience of leading a high performing shop management team across multiple sites

  • Experience of accountability for delivering key sales and profit targets through effective team management

  • Experience of developing a team through succession planning

  • A proven track record for delivering excellent standards across multiple sites

  • An ability to make decisions confidently

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate at all levels

  • Computer Literate; experience in the use of reports to recognise trends and take relevant

  • A high level of resilience and the ability to deal with problems in a logical way
