It’s never been a more exciting time to work in Gas. But don’t you hear something similar from every business?
We are National Gas, including National Gas Transmission and National Gas Metering.
In February 2023 we became a standalone business, to maintain and own the Gas Infrastructure in the UK. But more than that, to develop and grow this infrastructure to set us up for a cleaner energy future. A future of Hydrogen.
This means we are currently in a period of both opportunity and uncertainty. While nobody knows exactly what things will look like in a years’ time, those who join the business now will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of Gas Transmission in the UK.
At National Gas we want everyone to feel they belong, to be a place of safety where we can be our authentic, whole selves, with no need or desire to hide who we are.
We are at the start of our journey, developing partnerships and working hard to improve inclusivity not only for those who work for us, but for anybody who interacts with National Gas Transmission.
While it is important to recognise the benefits of a diverse workforce, such as increased efficiency and new ideas, these are not the only reasons we strive to be inclusive.
We do it because, quite simply, it’s the right thing to do.
